Everyone has heard about the "supernatural connection" between twins, right? So my friend Natalie has a twin brother. When he was 18, he was called up for military service and sent to fight in Iraq.
One evening she asked me to go out with her, just go for a walk. I met her and saw that my Natalie looked terrible - upset, pale, blue circles under her eyes. She said: "The day turned out to be a nightmare. I’d been turning in bed for 3 hours, unable to sleep, I felt weird, as they say "sick at heart" and I’ve been like this all day - depressed, sometimes just scared for no reason."
So here we sit with her and talk about our girls stuff, and then she suddenly exhales "aaaaahhh" and falls from the bench on her knees, clutching her head with both hands, the left part of it. And she starts to HOWL loudly in pain. Some guys were playing football nearby. They turned to screams, came to us and picked up my friend and carried her into the apartment. We brought her there, and I ran to her mother screaming - "Aunt Claudia, call an ambulance, something’s wrong with Natalie!". The minute her mother dialed the number, Natalie took her hands off her face, showing a perfectly normal face and said: "It’s gone."
By the evening everybody calmed down, her mother went to work on the night shift, and before leaving she’d said that tomorrow we should bring her to the doctor. The next day, doctors performed a full examination concluding that everything was fine, there were no abnormalities. Three days later came a death notice - her brother was killed on that same day in a battle about 7 p.m. Grenade splinter hit him in the left temple.
